Once you done with the prerequisite on your system then start installation of sitefinity cms.

It requires Activation key which you will get via email from Sitefinity community.

In next step this setup downloads the required files from Sitefinity site.

Once installation is completed, you will get the credentials to work ahead with your newly setup Sitefinity CMS.

Time to setup your project with Sitefinity CMS. In next screen you will get the option to setup your project with required database. Here you can select database i.e. SQL, MySQL etc.

I selected SQL for my project and gave the instance name as SQL express then click on continue button.

After selecting database instance you will get option to maintain your profile for including credentials ans email for your Sitefinity CMS server.

Once you done with profile changes you will get the Dashboard of your Sitefinity CMS which have all the features to create and maintain your content and structure of your website.

From this dashboard you can start to develop your website pages which includes component, layouts, content etc.

Here I am creating first page which have image component and a Hero card component.

Once your page is created, you need to select template as per your requirement. I my case I selected 1 Column, Header and Footer template.

Now you can drag and drop blogs, card, comments components.

I also use an image component on the same page and given my real image on this.

In this way my image displayed on the same page now you can publish your page and get the preview on same browser.

In above page I use hero card component given by Sitefinity CMS. Here you can give heading, text, image as per your requirement.

After following above steps you will get your working page designed and develop by Sitefinity CMS.
I will try to explain more on Dotnet framework connectivity with Sitefinity CMS in my next article .

Happy Learning!!!
